Summer 1992 :: Record companies begin showing interest in signing DMB to a contract.
4.15.92 :: Pay For What You Get and Help Myself debut.
Dec 1992 :: DMB begins to seriously consider releasing an independent album.
Fall 1992 :: DMB closes out the year continuing to alternate gigs between Trax & the Floodzone.
1.07.92-4.15.92 :: DMB plays a gig nearly every week at Trax. In the meantime, several band members are presumably still participating in other groups/projects.
6.01.92 :: DMB plays a High School graduation party at the Floodzone.
5.05.92 :: DMB plays a live radio show for WTJU in Charlottesville, VA.
Spring 1992 :: DMB started performing at Frat Houses in the Charlottesville area. They perform 3 hr shows for $5/person.
June 1992 :: DMB records a full length album demo at Ardent Studios in Nashville, TN. The album was obviously never released.
11.17.92 :: Granny debuts.
Jan 1992 :: Dave Matthews records a demo at Greg Howard's studio with Howard, John D'Earth, & Kenneth Davis (the same lineup as Dave's original demo).
Summer 1992 :: DMB continues regular gigs at Trax & Floodzone. They often play Trax several times each week, usually Tuesdays & Saturdays. They occassionally hit the road for a gig somewhere else on the East Coast.
May 1992 :: Due to extensive touring, Dave and Ross Hoffman lose touch. Both start to feel as if their professional association had ended.
5.13.92 :: Dave Matthews signs an agreement ensuring Hoffman 7.5% of his songwriting revenues.
March 1993 :: Doug Wannamaker takes Peter's place for a few gigs during a period of transition for DMB.
6.01.92 :: Once On A Wild Afternoon debuts.
7.08.92 :: Seek Up and Drive In, Drive Out debut.
11.01.92 :: DMB records a live demo presumably for interested record labels now following the band.
12.23.92 :: Christmas Song debuts.
Feb 1992 :: Dave finishes his 15th song.
DMB spent the majority of 1992 playing gigs almost exclusively in Virginia. Weekly gigs, often several each week were played at Trax and other Charlottesville venues. They traveled to Richmond every Wednesday for shows at the Floodzone.
4.05.92 :: DMB plays at Charlotteville's Van Rypers Music Festival, then the largest crowd they'd ever played for.




12.31.92 :: DMB plays their 1st annual New Years Eve show in Richmond, VA.
5.05.92 :: Blue Water Baboon Farm debuts.
3.01.92 :: Dave Matthews & Greg Howard play a show at Millers.
4.30.92 :: Boyd Tinsley Band plays their last gig at Trax as he commits soley to DMB.
6.03.97 :: DMB opens the Summer Tour in Richmond, VA for what is the shortest full band touring year in the band's history.
10.31.92 :: Halloween debuts.
2.13.92 :: So Much To Say debuts.

9.11.92 :: Dave Matthews puts on a classic solo performance at the DKE house at the University of Virginia.





Spring 1992 :: Dave & Ross Hoffman hide away and write several new songs to bring to the stage.
3.01.92 :: Lie In Our Graves debuts.
